Dr Michael is a former UCL Lecturer, published author, and highly experienced English and admissions tutor. He has a Master’s degree and a PhD in English Literature from the prestigious US university, Princeton, and was both a Lecturer at UCL and an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York. Dr Michael has extensive experience teaching university-level students on a one-to-one basis and has supervised several MA dissertations and PhD students. He also served as an admissions tutor for the English department at UCL for two years and handled admissions for one of the most popular Humanities MAs in London. Throughout his career, Dr Michael has also written extensively for publications such as The Times Literary Supplement, The New Statesman, and The Observer, as well as having a book published by Oxford University Press in 2013.

Suraiya is a Social Sciences and Humanities Lecturer and private tutor. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) from the University of Oxford and is studying for a PhD in Gender Studies from SOAS, University of London. She was also admitted as a Member of the New York Bar (Second Department) by the New York University of Law. Suraiya’s professional experience spans multiple continents and includes work in international development, human rights law, and teaching at school and university-level. In her tutoring career, Suraiya specialises in a range of subjects, including Philosophy, Politics, Global Politics, African Studies, and Gender Theory. She has also successfully supported students with applications to top universities across the world, including Oxbridge and US law schools.

Chris is a Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at a prestigious London university and an experienced tutor. He holds a PhD in International Relations from LSE, distinction-grade master's degrees from SOAS and LSE, and a first-class undergraduate degree from Cambridge. He has significant experience teaching a range of politics and IR sub-fields, especially IR theory and the international politics of East Asia, and his writing has been published in high-profile academic and journalistic sources. Joe Miller is a highly experienced private tutor and admissions mentor with an MSc from the University of Oxford and a First Class Honours BSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). After a successful career as an Investment Banker, Joe transitioned to full-time tutoring, amassing over 1,500 hours of one-to-one tuition in Economics, History, Business, and Maths up to undergraduate level. As a figurehead for The Profs and one of our only in-house admissions consultants, Joe has guided students from around the world to secure places at top British schools and universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, and Imperial College. Christian is a first-class Oxford graduate and experienced Humanities tutor. After graduating with a degree in English Language and Literature, he began a full-time tutoring career, specialising in tuition for English, History, Politics, Religious Studies and Philosophy subjects, as well as university admissions. Christian has successfully supported students in applying to top UK universities, including Oxbridge, working with them throughout the admissions process and helping them secure top grades in their exams. Christian is passionate about education and, alongside tutoring, has also worked on creating an online, AI-powered learning platform covering the key pillars of the school curriculum.

Dr Toby is a professional Humanities and university admissions tutor with over 5000 hours of experience. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology from UCL and a Master’s in History and a PhD in Modern History from the University of Oxford. Dr Toby has successfully supported students with applications to top universities, including preparation for admissions tests including the HAT for Oxford. He has also worked as a HAT exam marker, a Seminar Leader and a Course Coordinator at Oxford University, developing in-depth knowledge of the Oxbridge admissions process. Aside from university admissions, Dr Toby also specialises in a range of undergraduate and Master’s-level topics, including History, Ancient History, Classics, Egyptology, Sociology, and Archaeology.

Eliska is a highly qualified Economics, History, and Economic History tutor, also specialising in Czech and French language tutoring. She has a first-class degree in History from the University of Glasgow and an MPhil in Economic and Social History from the University of Cambridge. Her PhD work focuses on the relationship between gender and the economy, women's work and care work. Eliska is fluent in English, Czech and French and has tutoring experience in all of these languages.

Charlie is a passionate History and Politics tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience. He has a BA (Hons) in History and American Studies and an MA in American Studies from KCL, in which he achieved a distinction. He has taught at top UK schools and internationally. Charlie can tutor across a range of exam boards, including Cambridge iGCSE, Edexcel and AQA at GCSE level, and Edexcel and OCR at A-level. He is also an expert on university admissions and the UCAS process and has supported many students with EPQ projects.

George is a Cambridge HSPS graduate and experienced Oxbridge admissions tutor specialising in PPE, Politics and humanities applications. Following graduation, George joined Blue Education as Director of Humanities and Social Sciences, where he guided cohorts of 50-80 students through the admissions process while leading a team of specialist tutors. His expertise spans personal statements, super-curricular development and Oxbridge interview preparation. George also developed a highly successful approach to the John Locke Essay Competition, achieving an 80% shortlist rate in 2024, with one of his students winning Third Prize in Politics.
