We’re proud to announce that The Profs has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise, personally approved by King Charles III on the recommendation of the Prime Minister. We were crowned as a winner in the International Trade category for our success in what is perhaps the UK’s most important export: education.
Our Story
Founded in 2014, The Profs began as a small startup with a big mission: to help students achieve life-changing success in education. Since then, we have grown into the UK’s largest tutoring provider, bootstrapped an overdraft of £1,500 into a multi-million pound business and established sales in more than 120 countries.
Today, our network of tutors helps more than 10,000 students each year to both raise their grades and secure offers from top UK universities, such as The LSE, Imperial, Oxford and Cambridge.
How The Profs is leading the way
The Profs has shown significant growth year-on-year both in the UK and overseas, with international revenue increasing by over 65% over the last 3 years in markets including the US, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Belgium and Switzerland.
But our social impact is just as remarkable, if not more so. Of the +10,000 students we supported in 2025, those who responded to our client feedback survey reported outstanding results across GCSE, A-level and university admissions:

More about The King’s Award for Enterprise
The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the United Kingdom and recognise organisations that demonstrate outstanding achievement.
Now in its 60th year, the annual awards subject British businesses to a rigorous and independent assessment process. Final recommendations are made by an expert judging panel, after which recommendations are are submitted to the Prime Minister. Final approval is then granted by His Majesty The King.
The International Trade category sets a particularly high standard for applicants. Businesses must demonstrate remarkable growth in overseas earnings relative to their size and sector, whilst also proving sustained year-on-year growth in overseas sales over a period of 3 or 6 years.
