The Profs is proud to announce that our co-founder and CEO, Dr Leo Evans, has been named a finalist in the EducationInvestor Power List 2025 for the “Education Innovator of the Year” category. The winner will be revealed on 2nd December at a prestigious ceremony in London.
Independently judged by a panel of leading education experts, the EducationInvestor Power List recognises individuals who are driving meaningful progress across the sector. The list celebrates those who are transforming learning environments and shaping the future of education in our ever-evolving industry.
Reflecting on the nomination, Leo shared:

About Leo Evans
Leo is a multi award-winning EdTech entrepreneur whose innovations have helped over 50,000 students across 120 countries achieve life-changing results. Educated at Bryanston School and Imperial College London, Leo earned an MSc in Physics (Distinction) and PhD in Finance before becoming Vice President at J.P. Morgan (2012) and later a lecturer at Imperial College Business School.
In 2014, he co-founded The Profs: the UK’s highest-rated tutoring company on Trustpilot for the 9th year running. In recognition of our contributions to education, we were named “Private Tutoring Company of the Year” (2017) and “EdTech of the Year” (2024) by EducationInvestor Magazine.

- 68% of our school-aged students achieved A*-A (over 2x the national average).

On Shaping the Future of Education
In 2025, Leo joined the Advisory Board for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Bryanston School (his alma mater), marking another milestone in his mission to modernise learning and equip young people with the tools to thrive in an unpredictable world.
At Bryanston, Leo will help shape how entrepreneurial thinking is embedded into one of the UK’s leading schools and guide pupils in critical thinking and understanding failure as an essential part of growth. The Entrepreneurship & Innovation Board will advise on integrating start-up culture into school life, mentoring young entrepreneurs, and developing future-facing education strategies.
For Leo, the appointment carries a personal resonance. The 5 years he spent at Bryanston, he says, shaped who he is, what he knows, and the relationships that built his career. Returning now in an advisory role gives him the opportunity to give back; to inspire the next generation of leaders to take intelligent risks and shape the world around them.
