Imperial Computer Science MSc

A Computer Science MSc at Imperial College London can be studied as a four-year undergraduate course (Computing MEng) or as a one-year postgraduate course (Computing MSc). To attain entry to the undergraduate course, A*AA with an A* in Maths is required, but the average offer Imperial give is for A*A*A and Further Maths is strongly preferred. A level alternatives are also accepted at the same standard. For the one-year postgraduate course, Imperial require a first-class degree in any subject. This one-year Master’s degree is aimed at any students who may or may not have any formal computer science education who want to acquire core computing skills or retrain as IT professionals. The modules include Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, Introduction to C++ Programming and other basic computing knowledge. The final year of the four-year Master’s, however, will be far more in-depth and niche, having already studied the basics. The four-year course also includes an industry placement year.
