Your course programme and grading system can hugely rely on what kind of Engineering course you embark on e.g. Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Environmental or Chemical etc.
Different universities offer different exam structures for Engineering degrees. For instance, some Engineering courses conduct all exams at the end of the year, whilst others conduct exams throughout e.g. after each module is completed.
If your Engineering degree conducts all exams at the end of the year you will need to revise everything from all modules and refresh your knowledge of concepts you haven’t seen in months. So, to avoid that, try to keep revising each module throughout the year to avoid going through everything from the start when you begin exam preparation. If you really can’t do this, then start revision as early as possible to give yourself enough time for this undertaking!
If your Engineering degree conducts exams throughout the year you will find that most things are fresh in your mind and you can simply revise per module.
Motivating yourself to revise can be half the battle. Try agreeing to meet a friend for breakfast at 8 AM with the plan to head to the library to revise after. This way, you won’t want to let your friend down, meaning you’ll get up and out of the house early and you can hold each other accountable to get to the library at 9 AM.

Your university should have a wealth of past papers and questions. Cambridge has papers available for students dating back to the early 90s! You can also look at other universities. Many university past papers are available online without a login! The best way to revise content is to use it and figure out what you remember and what you forget – what topics are you getting stuck with?
Also, trial timing. Ensure that you complete mock papers under timed conditions to improve speed and accuracy.
