Meet Our Tutors

Dr Arjun has been a full-time tutor for more than a decade. He has a Master’s in Mathematics from the University of Bath and completed his PhD at the University of Sheffield. Dr Arjun has successfully supported students with preparation for admissions tests including the SAT, GMAT and GRE, as well as on Mathematics and Statistics courses at top universities, including LSE, King’s College London, and Oxford. In addition to being an expert in his subject, Dr Arjun encourages students to find their own interests and equips them with the tools to enhance their own knowledge and self-confidence throughout their education.

Mark is a Marketing and Business tutor with more than 20 years’ experience in higher education. He has a Master’s in Fashion and Textiles from RMIT University and is a UK Marketing and Business Mentor with the Chartered Institute of Marketing. In his career as an educator, Mark has been a Senior Lecturer in Australia for two decades as well as lecturing at universities in the UK, including being the Programme Leader for the Introduction to Marketing Studies course at New College of the Humanities. He also has a wealth of professional experience, working for various e-commerce fashion brands and closely with museum and gallery curators.

Dr Don is a highly experienced, full-time Economics, Mathematics, Philosophy and Psychology tutor. He has two Master’s degrees in Mathematics (from the University of Cambridge) and Philosophy (from UCL), as well as two PhDs from UCL and the University of London, and more than 11 years’ tutoring experience. Dr Don has successfully supported students with applications to Oxbridge and has tutored university students at Oxbridge, LSE and Harvard. He adopts a personalised approach to tutoring his students and encourages them to build on their strengths and develop the necessary skills for higher-level study.

Dan has been teaching for more than a decade. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a Master’s in Finance from Imperial College London and has a wide range of specialisms, including Statistics, STATA, Finance, Mathematics, and Econometrics. In addition to being an expert in his subjects, Dan helps students with applications for top UK universities, including LSE, Durham, Bristol, UCL and Warwick, with many securing places at their first choice. Thanks to his commitment to providing excellent online tutoring, Dan was awarded Online Tutor of the Year by The Profs in 2019.

Dr Keely is a researcher and highly experienced tutor specialising in Organisational Psychology. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s in Occupational Psychology, and a PGCert in Management of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from Goldsmiths University, and a PhD in Organisational Psychology from King’s College London. Dr Keely’s research interests are varied and she can tutor a wide range of topics, including Organisational Recruitment, Selection and Assessment, Consumer Behaviour, and more. She is also an experienced university admissions tutor, having successfully supported many students with undergraduate and postgraduate applications to courses at top universities, including Oxbridge and Russell Group. Dr Keely is also the winner of multiple awards for her tutoring excellence, including Best Online Tutor and People’s Choice for Best Tutor at the National Tutoring Awards 2022.

Dr Jack is a full-time Mathematics and university admissions tutor. He has a Master’s in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and completed his PhD at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). Dr Jack has successfully supported students with preparation for admissions tests, including the STEP at Cambridge University, as well as on Mathematics and Statistics courses at top universities. In addition to being an outstanding tutor, Dr Jack is a mentor to his students, helping them to find their own interests and providing the encouragement they need to develop their skills and self-confidence. He has also won multiple awards for his work, including Best University Tutor at the National Tutoring Awards 2022.

Dr Bianca is an experienced lecturer, research consultant and tutor. She has a Master’s in Health Psychology and a PhD in Health Psychology and Psychobiology, both from UCL. Dr Bianca has lectured at top UK institutions, including UCL, British College of Osteopathy (BCOM), Council of International Educational Exchange (CIEE), Royal Holloway and St. George's University. In addition to being an expert in her subjects, Dr Bianca encourages students to take a research and evidence-based approach to learning and regularly receives exceedingly positive reviews from her students.

Dr Amar has been teaching and tutoring for more than 20 years. He studied Economics at Princeton University before completing his PhD in Economics at Stanford University, and is a CFA Charterholder. Dr Amar has a background in Consulting, working for McKinsey & Company and BlackRock, as well as academia, serving as a lecturer for Intermediate Microeconomic Theory and Mathematics for Economists at Stanford University. In his role as a tutor, Dr Amar has successfully supported students with Economics and Finance modules at undergraduate and postgraduate-level, as well as working with professionals in relevant industries to help them develop their skills and qualifications, including the CFA.

Benjamin is a professional tutor specialising in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics, and a qualified pilot. He has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Aerothermal Engineering from the University of Cambridge and has a PhD in Aerodynamic and Flight Mechanics at the University of Southampton. Benjamin has successfully supported students with applications to top universities, including Oxbridge, to study Engineering and other quantitative subjects. He also has extensive experience helping university-level students with exam preparation, coursework, dissertation support, and Matlab/C++ programming in all Engineering subjects.

Dr Ramsay is a highly experienced Medicine tutor. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Pharmacology from Queen Margaret University as well as a Master’s and PhD in Cancer Therapeutics from Barts Medical School and the London School of Medicine. Dr Ramsay was also a Lecturer at UCL, an Assistant Professor at the University of New Haven Connecticut, and a Dissertation Supervisor at Queen Mary University and Barts Medical School. He is extremely knowledgeable about the medical admissions process in the UK as well as being an expert in his subject areas, with thousands of hours tutoring students in Biology, Medicine, Nutrition, Neuroscience, and more. Dr Ramsay is also extremely reliable and an excellent communicator who consistently delivers results for his students.

Cristoph has been tutoring for more than a decade. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Organisational Sciences from Munich University and a Master’s in International Political Economy from LSE. Cristoph has successfully supported students with applications to top universities at undergraduate and postgraduate-level as well as Economics-related subjects from A-level to Master’s-level. He also has a wealth of experience working in the financial services industry, as well as founding and running consulting and technology companies, and can advise students on professional applications and career choices.

Sam is a full-time tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with Economic History from LSE. He has a background in Finance and has worked in private equity and asset management at top businesses in London, including Ardian and J.P. Morgan. Sam specialises in tuition for a range of Economics topics at A-level (covering the AQA, Edexcel and WJEC examination boards) and university-level, including History of Economics, Post-War Britain, and North America. He also supports students with university admissions at both undergraduate and postgraduate-level, as well as interview and assessment centre preparation.

Dr Leonard is the founder of several tuition and EdTech companies, including The Profs, Spires and BitPaper, and is ex-Vice President of JP Morgan. The online tutoring technology and methods he has helped to pioneer have now been adopted by thousands of tutors around the world. Dr Leonard also has a Master’s and PhD in Finance, both from Imperial College London, and has previously lectured on Finance, Statistics, Econometrics and more at two of the best business schools in London. In addition to being an expert in his subjects, he has also successfully supported students with applications to top universities and several of his students have gone on to secure leading roles in Finance, Business and Politics.

Lucia has been tutoring for more than 13 years. She has two Master’s degrees: one in Management Science (specialising in Applied Statistics) from LSE and another in Applied Mathematics from the University of Buenos Aires. Lucia has also worked in Data Science for more than 6 years and has been an Assistant Professor at several universities. She has successfully tutored students in subjects ranging from Machine Learning to Coding, and covers multiple programming languages, including Python, R, and SPSS.

Richard has been a full-time tutor for more than a decade. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Economics from LSE and is the Founder of The Profs. Richard has successfully supported students with applications to the UK’s top universities, including LSE, Oxbridge, Imperial, and London Business School, and has a more than 95% university acceptance rate. In addition to being an expert in his subject and university admissions, Richard is a conscientious and passionate tutor whose unique learning resources allow students to cover large amounts of content in every session.

Lola has been a professional Business and Management tutor for more than 6 years. She has a Master’s in International Employment Relations and HRM from LSE and is currently completing her PhD in Management at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). Lola has successfully supported students at a range of educational levels, including GCSE, A-level and IB Business Studies, undergraduate and Master’s Management courses, and Management-related dissertations. She also equips students with the necessary study skills, academic reading techniques and qualitative research methods they need to succeed throughout their education and career.

Dr Laurie is an experienced International Relations tutor. She has two Master’s, one in Modern History from the University of St Andrews and one in International Conflict Studies from King’s College London, and also completed her PhD in International Relations at King’s College. Dr Laurie has successfully supported students at school and university-level and covers a range of topics, including War Studies, International Relations, Government and Politics, and more. She also helps students with essay-writing, research projects, and developing the critical thinking and study skills necessary for further education.

Zaneta has been a Law tutor for more than 7 years. She has an LLB in Scots Law from the University of Glasgow, a Master’s in Law (LLM) from the University of Cambridge, and a GDL in English Law from BPP University. Zaneta has successfully supported students both online and in-person with Law exams, essays and presentations and has lectured on summer courses at Cambridge University. She can cover a range of topics, including International Environmental Law, Human Rights Law, Commercial Law, Intellectual Property Law, Equity and Trusts, Criminal Law, Land Law, and more.

Dr Helen is an experienced humanities tutor and Oxford graduate. She has a PhD in Criminology and Social Psychology and is a fully qualified Barrister. Dr Helen has successfully supported students at school and university-level, covering a range of topics, including Law, Social Policy, Sociology, Social Psychology, Business, Criminology, and more. She also helps students with essay-writing, research projects, dissertations, and developing the critical thinking, study skills and self-confidence necessary for further education.

Katie is a specialist IELTS tutor with more than 8 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language. She has a Master’s in Politics from the University of Edinburgh as well as a CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). Katie also gained an International House Business English Certificate in Spain and worked in language schools and businesses in Seville and Madrid. As the standard requirement for the IELTS has increased over the last few years, Katie has helped her students to improve their scores and meet the level of excellence required by the UK’s top universities.

Chris is an experienced tutor and doctoral researcher at LSE. He studied his Bachelor’s degree in Asian & Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Cambridge before training as a lawyer and working at magic circle law firm Slaughter and May for three years. Chris then pivoted his career towards tutoring and academia, studying two Master’s degrees in International Relations and Korean Studies and East Asian Politics at SOAS, University of London and LSE. Chris was awarded the highly prestigious ESRC funding for his PhD at LSE’s Department of International Relations (IR). Throughout his tutoring career, Chris has successfully supported students with applications to top UK universities, including Oxbridge, and consistently receives excellent feedback from his students.

Dr Franz is a former Oxford lecturer and experienced private tutor. He has a Master’s in Mathematical Finance and Actuarial Science from Technical University Munich and completed his PhD in Statistics at the University of Oxford. Dr Franz is personally familiar with the Oxford curriculum for Mathematics and Statistics courses and can cover a wide range of topics in Maths, Data Science, and Actuarial Science at university-level. He also works with Boston Consulting Group within Data Science and his unique knowledge combines Artificial Intelligence with a Business angle.

Eloise is an experienced legal professional and Law tutor. She has a first-class degree in Law from the University of Cambridge and is a qualified solicitor, spending 5 years with a leading US law firm. Eloise is also the author of multiple Law Society publications: ‘The Junior Lawyers’ Handbook’ (2019) and ‘The Purpose Handbook’ (2021). In her career as a tutor, Eloise has successfully supported students, junior lawyers and other young professionals on university-level Law courses and other postgraduate qualifications. She also provides expert support to students applying for top universities, including Oxbridge, as well as careers mentoring for students interested in a career in Law.
