Experienced Maths and Economics tutor with a first-class MA from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc with Distinction from Oxford.

I am a fully qualified teacher, having completed the Teach First Leadership Development Program in 2019, as part of which I received a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in Secondary Mathematics Education from UCL. I have over three years teaching experience in secondary schools, two years of tutoring experience and a year of teaching experience at the University of Oxford.

1. I was part of the Oxford admissions interview team for the PPE and Economics & Management programmes at Merton College in 2023.

2. I designed materials and provided teaching assistance for a course on behavioural biases delivered to policymakers at the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office in 2022.

3. I was a teaching assistant on the MPhil in Development Studies at the University of Oxford in 2020. I designed resources for and taught tutorials for the Economic Foundations module.

4. I was Head of Economics at the West London Free School, a Sixth Form college. In this role, I designed all A-Level teaching resources, planned the curriculum for my subject area and line managed the other Economics teacher. I taught online during the Covid-19 school closure and set and graded the 2021 A-Level papers, as national examinations did not run in 2021. I increased my department’s progress 8 score from -0.4 to +0.3. I was part of the school’s Academic Board, which involved input into contingency arrangements for Covid-19 school closures and exam arrangements.

5. I taught Mathematics at Isleworth & Syon School, on the Teach First Leadership Development Programme. I was rated as an ‘outstanding’ teacher in both years of the program by Teach First and UCL. I planned and delivered 20 hours of classroom lessons per week for my department and was a form teacher to a year 7 form.

6. Whilst completing my undergraduate degree, I worked as a private tutor in Mathematics, English and French to children between the ages of 11 and 16. I also helped two sixth form students to write their personal statements, with both boys successfully being admitted to a Russel Group University.
