Highly experienced educator with over 30 years in Zoology and Equine Science, holding a BSc, MSc, and PhD in related fields.

My first lectureship was at Bishop Burton College of Agriculture starting in September 1991. I managed their HND course in Equine Science and delivered a wide range of modules to both Equine and Animal Science students from First Diploma to HND level. I was offered a Senior Lectureship at Hartpury University a year later and during my time there became Programme Leader for their MSc in Equine Science. I delivered a range of scientific modules including research methods, and supervised research dissertation projects for both undergraduate and postgraduate students studying Equine Science, Animal Science, and Veterinary Science.

I have provided guest lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students at various universities in the U.K. and overseas, including The University of Glasgow, The University of Edinburgh, The University of Bristol, The University of Liverpool, Hartpury University, The University of Antwerp, and The University of Michigan.

Both myself and some of my students have presented research papers at scientific conferences in the U.K., Europe, and the U.S.A.

I am also extremely proud of the professional achievements of many of my former students, with whom I remain in contact. Examples include Rosie Scott-Ward, Pro-Vice Chancellor at Hartpury University; Dr. Genevieve Riley, Senior Programme Manager at West of England Academic Health Science Network (AHSN); Amanda Bond, Head of Equestrian Affairs at The Hong Kong Jockey Club; Paul Malone, Quality and Academic Standards Manager at The Open College; Catherine Porter, Head of Equine Higher Education, Hartpury University; to name only a few.
