Experience

Throughout my teaching journey, I've had the privilege of sharing my knowledge and passion for various subjects, employing diverse teaching approaches to cater to individual needs. I started off tutoring creative writing at GCSE level. Mastering descriptive and emotive language was a profoundly rewarding experience, enabling the elevation of writing skills and confidence in self-expression.

Moreover, during my time at Oxford Royale Summer School, I played a pivotal role in aiding a student with comprehensive essay support. Walking them through the entire essay creation process - from initial planning and organising ideas to refining the structure and meticulously proofreading the final draft - was a gratifying experience. Not only did this guidance enhance their writing abilities, but it also catalysed nurturing critical thinking and practical communication skills. Witnessing the student's essay transform into a coherent, well-articulated piece was a testament to the power of mentorship and dedicated support in academic growth.

I pursued a BSc in Psychology and actively served as an educational and wellbeing mentor during my academic journey. My support extended to various modules, notably social psychology and language and cognition. Whether face-to-face or online, I was dedicated to aiding students in their academic endeavours, ensuring they grasped complex concepts and assisting them in achieving their educational goals.

These experiences have fortified my belief in the transformative power of education. I am deeply committed to guiding students through their learning paths, utilising my diverse teaching approaches to foster academic growth and a genuine love for learning.

I have experience in tutoring all the mandatory modules in Psychology, which include Social influence, Memory, Attachment, Psychopathology, Approaches in Psychology, Biopsychology, Research Methods, and Issues and debates. In terms of optional modules, my experience extends to Relationships, Schizophrenia, and Aggression, though I will be able to leverage my undergraduate degree to tailor my assistance to the chosen optional modules. I work on a variety of teaching styles, including content consolidation, essay writing and marking, and exam paper assistance, which are all aimed at targeting all three assessment objectives in A-Level Psychology in order to maximise both confidence and exam skills.
