Hi, my name is Fred and I would be delighted to be your tutor! I have recently graduated from Economics and Management at Keble College, Oxford. Currently, I work as an Economic and Financial Consultant in London, but I am continuing to tutor as I have a passion for helping students reach their goals and develop personally

At Oxford, I studied micro, macro, and quantitative economics as well as a broad set of management topics such as strategy, marketing, and accounting. Alongside this, I was an RAF Officer reservist, radio show host, and co-ran a foreign affairs society. At the moment my main interests are reading, going to the gym, and exploring all that London has to offer.

As a tutor, I have primarily helped students with their applications to university courses where I am highly skilled at providing critical thinking training for assessments, management/business interview coaching, and broader teaching to prepare oneself for higher education. I also have experience tutoring more widely with GCSE, A-Levels, and general academia.

My tutoring style focuses on creating a relaxed and informal teaching environment where I aim to test students ability to engage with complex ideas and topics that are new to them. This approach is vital for success in interviews, tutorials, and broader university life.

I am also adept at training students for the TSA and other critical thinking assessments for university admissions. Here I focus on teaching students to understand the larger picture and what the question is trying to test. Adopting this mentality (and lots of practice!) is vital in being able to reliably achieve the highest marks.

Additionally, I can offer more career focused help, e.g. cover letters and CVs, if required as I have coached people at university, have a strong set of experience, and a wealth of material to use.
