About
George is a Cambridge HSPS graduate and experienced Oxbridge admissions tutor specialising in PPE, Politics and humanities applications. Following graduation, George joined Blue Education as Director of Humanities and Social Sciences, where he guided cohorts of 50-80 students through the admissions process while leading a team of specialist tutors. His expertise spans personal statements, super-curricular development and Oxbridge interview preparation. George also developed a highly successful approach to the John Locke Essay Competition, achieving an 80% shortlist rate in 2024, with one of his students winning Third Prize in Politics.
Experience
Oxbridge Mock Interviews: I have delivered well over a hundred mock interviews primarily to students applying to study PPE or HSPS.
John Locke Essay Contest: In my capacity as Director I also instructed every student in both the basic practices of essay writing as well as the specific nuances required by the contest.
Politics Enrichment: The classes I took most frequently revolved around improving a student's fluency and understanding of politics. To achieve this I taught classes on everything from Ancient Greek political thought to the Meiji restoration to a breakdown of the 2024 presidential election.
