Joseph is an accomplished postdoctoral researcher and lecturer in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, where he completed both his First-Class MEng and DPhil (PhD). His innovative research in human intent prediction using wearable sensors has significant applications in assistive medical devices, such as prosthetics and orthotics. As a member of the Natural Interaction Lab at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Joseph has presented his findings at multiple international conferences and published six papers in leading academic journals. His teaching approach mirrors the renowned Oxford tutorial system, encouraging students to discover solutions independently, fostering deep understanding rather than rote memorisation. Since 2019, Joseph has been a private tutor in Maths, Physics, and Engineering, successfully guiding students from GCSE to undergraduate level, and helping many secure their first-choice university placements. Alongside his tutoring experience, Joseph lectures in Engineering at Oxford, supervises undergraduate projects, and leads practical lab sessions.
