Mel is a highly skilled financial modelling professional and Mathematics graduate with a Master’s degree from the University of Manchester, where he was recognised as one of the top students in his cohort. With nearly a decade of tutoring experience and over 100 hours of tutoring with The Profs alone, Mel brings a deep passion for Mathematics and a dedication to helping students excel. His journey in tutoring began in his teenage years and continued through his university studies, during which he developed a particular interest in Pure Mathematics. After earning his Master’s degree, he spent a year as a full-time online Maths tutor, where he honed his teaching and communication skills, making him an engaging and effective educator. Mel briefly pursued a PhD in Pure Mathematics at UCL before transitioning to a career in financial modelling, where he now works as an analyst at Operis, applying his mathematical expertise in a practical business setting.
