Experience
Even during my initial teacher training I was managing a Film and Media department in my placement college. As a 'can do' person I was given responsibility very early in my teaching career, becoming a Curriculum Manager but also chairing a Quality Group and Lesson Observation Team - crucially this gave me the opportunity to observe and grade lessons but also offer advice for improvement cross faculty. I steered my department through three successful outstanding Ofsted inspections achieving the same high levels of attainment as a freelance consultant. I have run Study Days for the British Film Institute (ongoing) since 2011, been an Examiner for GCSE and A Level, mentored newly qualified and experienced teachers across all exam boards (CIE, Eduqas, AQA, OCR) and achieve significant, measurable success as a private tutor. I support all Film and Media exam boards and also offer undergraduate and MA ongoing tutoring.
