Trilingual tutor in languages, Maths and Economics for all ages, with a BSc from LSE and an MSc from Cass Business School.

Year 3: Tutored a girl who was quiet and reserved yet intelligent. After sessions of creative writing and reading her favourite stories together, she became more confident and sociable with her classmates while developed an interest in reading and writing for leisure in her spare time.

Year 4: Tutoring a girl with ADHD in maths and English. Through singing songs together, she was able to expand her vocabulary significantly. Her teacher noted her improvement in English oral and she is now able to speak the language fluently. In maths, real world everyday examples were used to help her understand its relevance. Her mother said that she is now trying harder in the subject and is more engaged in her maths class.

11+: Student wishing to go to Wycombe Abbey. I tutored her in ISEB pre-test (non-verbal reasoning). After 6 months, she went from an average score of 55% to 85%, earning her offers from Wycombe Abbey and Cheltenham Ladies as well as other top independent schools. She is currently in Year 7 of Wycombe Abbey School.

11+: A shy student whose first language is not English wish to study in the UK. Through 18 months of tutoring UKiset English, verbal reasoning and interviewing preparation, his English reached conversational level and his self-confidence developed as a result of being able to answer a range of potential interview questions smoothly. He went on to achieve an offer from one of the top co-ed independent schools - Oakham.

13+: Student applied to a range of private schools in the UK. Provided 1-to-1 online tutoring on CAT4 maths entrance exams, covering fundamental maths knowledge, mental calculations, shortcuts to numeracy and exam technique. The student successfully earned multiple offers and is now in his school of first choice – Abingdon School.

13+: Student applied to a selected range of private schools in the UK. Tutored her face to face on CAT4 quantitative reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, verbal reasoning and spatial awareness tutoring for 6 months. Student increased her average score by 30% and each aspect improved from below UK national average to above UK independent school average.

16+: Student applied to a selected range of private schools in the UK. After tutoring her for 4 months in all aspect of CAT4, she increased her maths stanine from 8-9 and non-verbal reasoning from 7-9, with the latter scoring full marks, resulting in an offer from Oxford International College.

IGCSE: Bright Oakham School student who often made careless mistakes in maths resulted in average in mock exam. After an intensive 3 months tutoring exam technique, he was able to look out for his common mistakes and rectified them in time for the IGCSE exams. He went to score A* in the exam and studied maths for his A-levels.

IGCSE: An Oundle School student suffered from anxiety and depression and struggled to translate her abilities into high performance in tests. Through making the tutoring session fun, interactive and breaking large problems down into more manageable chunks, she became more comfortable in answering questions and accomplished A* in her IGCSE maths exam.

A level: Ambitious student who was predicted Grade B in AQA Economics was looking for a supportive and patient tutor to guide him through the syllabus. Through weekly tutoring, he finished learning the syllabus ahead of the rest of his class which gave him plenty of time to prepare for the exams. He successfully outperformed his predicted grade by achieving Grade A in his AS Paper 1 & 2.

A level: Student struggling in A level Maths & Further Maths needed general support to improved his grade in order to meet university offers. After several hours of daily tutoring where we started all over from the very basics, he was able to build his knowledge up. Ultimately he not only improved the most in his class of 12 pupils, he then went on to read Business and Finance at University of Edinburgh.

A level: Tutored two students of similar abilities in Further Maths. As they were good friends and were in the same class, they preferred to be tutored together. I checked their tasks, provided feedback and shared knowledge on various topics on FP1-FP3. Both students noted how much they enjoyed learning with me and both went on to attain targeted grades for universities offers.

Degree level: Undergraduate student needed extra help in learning Cantonese and Mandarin. We practised reading, writing and speaking and also went through any coursework. He is now more able to recognise complicated characters and has improved in all areas especially in speaking.

UCAS/Interview Prep: Ran mock interviews aimed at students applying for top Secondary schools, Gap Year/Internship placements and Universities. Candidates I had tutored have gained entry into the aforementioned schools and universities.

Working Professionals: Currently working with 2 individuals for whom English is not their first language. One client working in the travel industry wished to improve conversational English so we select a topic each week and introduce related vocabularies and have conversations surrounding those topics. Another client working in the finance sector wanted to focus on formal English, so we targeted business formalities and writing emails. Both have overseen progresses in oral and writing respectively.
