Dr Don is a highly experienced, full-time Economics, Mathematics, Philosophy and Psychology tutor. He has two Master’s degrees in Mathematics (from the University of Cambridge) and Philosophy (from UCL), as well as two PhDs from UCL and the University of London, and more than 11 years’ tutoring experience. Dr Don has successfully supported students with applications to Oxbridge and has tutored university students at Oxbridge, LSE and Harvard. He adopts a personalised approach to tutoring his students and encourages them to build on their strengths and develop the necessary skills for higher-level study.

Dr Nicholas is a highly qualified Science teacher and tutor with more than 30 years of experience. He studied at Cardiff University and Queen Mary University of London, where he obtained a PhD in Physics. Dr Nicholas has successfully supported students with preparation for admissions tests including the STEP, NSAA and MAT, as well as on Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy and Mechanics courses at school and university-level. In addition to being an expert in his subject and university admissions, Dr Nicholas has a friendly and approachable tutoring style and is passionate about his students’ education, consistently helping them reach their maximum potential.

Lucia has been tutoring for more than 13 years. She has two Master’s degrees: one in Management Science (specialising in Applied Statistics) from LSE and another in Applied Mathematics from the University of Buenos Aires. Lucia has also worked in Data Science for more than 6 years and has been an Assistant Professor at several universities. She has successfully tutored students in subjects ranging from Machine Learning to Coding, and covers multiple programming languages, including Python, R, and SPSS.

Jacob is an experienced tutor with over 1300 hours of tutoring under his belt. Jacob’s teaching philosophy revolves around building a strong foundation in mathematics. He is armed with a PGCE in Physics and Maths as well as an MSc in Pure Maths from Manchester University. Jacob is a top achiever, having earned an overall mark of 80 in his MSc and a final teaching grade of “outstanding” in his PGCE. He enjoys diving into advanced topics and connecting new concepts to previously learned ones, fostering independent problem-solving skills in his students. Mel is a highly skilled financial modelling professional and Mathematics graduate with a Master’s degree from the University of Manchester, where he was recognised as one of the top students in his cohort. With nearly a decade of tutoring experience and over 100 hours of tutoring with The Profs alone, Mel brings a deep passion for Mathematics and a dedication to helping students excel. His journey in tutoring began in his teenage years and continued through his university studies, during which he developed a particular interest in Pure Mathematics. After earning his Master’s degree, he spent a year as a full-time online Maths tutor, where he honed his teaching and communication skills, making him an engaging and effective educator. Mel briefly pursued a PhD in Pure Mathematics at UCL before transitioning to a career in financial modelling, where he now works as an analyst at Operis, applying his mathematical expertise in a practical business setting. Richard is an Oxford Master's graduate in Mathematics and Philosophy (First Class Honours) and recipient of the 2020 Gibbs Prize. With over 1000 hours of tutoring experience, he specialises in undergraduate Pure Mathematics, including Linear Algebra, Calculus, Real and Complex Analysis, Groups, Rings, Set Theory and MVC for economics. Richard particularly excels in supporting students with prestigious university applications, and has successfully helped students gain admission to Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial. After his experience as a student mentor at the Oxford Mathematical Institute, Richard has extensive experience in exam preparation. His expertise include STEP, IC AERO/EEE exam, and he offers resources such as MAT guides, mock papers, and Oxbridge interview question banks. Richard also guides students through interview and personal statement preparation, and teaches introduction to Philosophy of Mathematics.

Sean is an experienced Data Scientist and private tutor. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Imperial College London, a Master’s in Machine Learning from UCL, and Part III of the Mathematical Tripos (Master's) from the University of Cambridge. Sean specialises in tuition for a range of quantitative subjects, including Mathematics, Statistics and Programming (particularly Python and R), as well as preparation for standardised tests such as the GMAT, GRE and AP.

Dr Franz is a former Oxford lecturer and experienced private tutor. He has a Master’s in Mathematical Finance and Actuarial Science from Technical University Munich and completed his PhD in Statistics at the University of Oxford. Dr Franz is personally familiar with the Oxford curriculum for Mathematics and Statistics courses and can cover a wide range of topics in Maths, Data Science, and Actuarial Science at university-level. He also works with Boston Consulting Group within Data Science and his unique knowledge combines Artificial Intelligence with a Business angle.
